“Fun and inventive and challenging, this is a night at the opera that you won’t snooze through.”

Look, we know full well you’ve never wondered what it’s like behind the scenes at the Royal Opera House, but how about you pretend that you have? Okay? Ace! Because here’s where you find out! And it’s a lot more minigamey than we expected. In The Show Must Go On, you battle to save four productions from ruin after a backstage calamity, through the medium of minigames. You need to sort out the costumes, build and dress the sets, set up the lights and find the music in a set of five games that require a mix of quick wits, nimble fingers and a sharp memory, and your degree of success is reflected in the final performance – shown at the end of each game – and its all-important reviews. It might look a bit casual, but be warned: it doesn’t take long to become very tricky indeed, which at least results in some top operatic comedy.
