Saving Yello

Saving YelloAnyone who ever owned a goldfish as a child will be familiar with the panic-inducing sight of said pet escaping its bowl. It flaps and flails, desperate to get back to the safe haven of H2O as soon as possible.

Unless that fish is Yello, of course – he's happy to take a more considered and circuitous route back home, as long as he can wreak plenty of havoc en route. You pull back on the screen to aim and fire him into piles of destructible objects.

Each level offers a limited number of ‘tails’ to do this with, and points are won by bashing in objects as you go. Objects such as spike-balls (which stick you to walls), ice cubes (freeze what you touch, then shatter it) and dynamite (pretty obvious) help you along, too. The obvious touchstone here is Angry Birds, but there's a neat element of strategy to each level that keeps everything from descending into a mere shoot-and-hope affair.
