“Glorious and splendidly balanced shooting, with a difficulty level for everyone.”

Oh, Cave, we love you so. Not content with charging a whole tenner for Espgaluda II HD and for it to be pretty much worth every penny, you follow it up by releasing something almost as good for three quid. Bug Princess – a game of a girl riding on the back of a giant flying beetle, blasting squillions of giant insects for reasons that we don’t fully understand – is just fantastic. Okay, sit it next to the glorious Espgaluda II HD and it looks blocky and sounds muddy, but it plays so beautifully, especially once you’ve battered your way through the standard game and unlocked Maniac mode, which features a lot more bullets and a chaining system that enables you to rack up loads of points through carefully paced shooting. And then there’s Ultra mode. Yikes.
