Games

  • If you’re willing to engage, Arranger is an enchanting distraction that’s worth enduring some rough edges.

  • A mirror image of a classic game turns out to be just as good as the original.

  • A fun, and occasionally inventive rhythm-action game, but the IAP system leads to repetition and feels distinctly like gouging.

  • Strip away the glossy aesthetics and you’re left with an adequate but challenging tower defence game with burbling audio. More like Reasonable Hotel.

  • Pretty and – in the context of iOS gaming – fairly innovative, but extremely short-lived. A missed opportunity.

  • Mad Acorn loses footing at times, but largely stands out as one of the most memorable iOS originals in some time.

  • One of the few games that’s just as minimal as the hardware you play it on, and with the same one-more-go factor.

  • Puzzle, stealth, rhythm-action and a smattering of platforming, with Game & Watch era rigidity smashed into modern iOS-style aesthetics. Perfect.
