We do fun covers for each edition of the magazine – and we’ve just posted a quick video showing some of our favourites!

 

 

We're proud of the fun, innovative covers we do on Tap!, so we thought we'd show you a few of our recent favourites. With the exception of the film of Eloisa on the cover of our books issue, there's not a single frame of video on these covers; all the animation and particle effects are done natively by the iPad itself, thanks to FutureFolio, our own iOS app we built for making our monthly iPad edition. One thing you won't be able to see from this video is that with our 'You + Your Friends' cover, groups of elements of that social network graphic are on different layers, and we use the iPad's motion detection systems to make them slide gently around as you tilt the iPad. (Sorry the framerate is so poor; ironically, the iPad displays these issues far better than the Core i5 iMac we're running the Simulator on!)
